چکیده
Larix gmelinii forest is one of the dominant types in boreal and plays a unique eco-hydrological role terrestrial ecosystem. However, throughfall variability ecosystems, which crucial regulating hydrology, remains unclear. Here, we investigated spatial temporal stability within full leaf stage Great Kingan Mountain, Northeast China, effects rainfall properties canopy structure on were systematically evaluated. The results indicate that represented 81.26% gross forest. CV (coefficient variation throughfall) had significant negative correlation with amount, intensity, duration, distance from nearest trunk, whereas it increased increasing thickness LAI (leaf area index). analysis suggested was mainly affected by amount (R2 = 0.7714) 0.7087). indicated distribution temporally stable. Our findings will facilitate better understanding spatiotemporal heterogeneity help accurate assessment soil water forests.

Structure and Composition of Natural Gmelin Larch (Larix gmelinii var. gmelinii) Forests in Response to Spatial Climatic Changes
BACKGROUND Many theoretical researches predicted that the larch species would decrease drastically in China under future climatic changes. However, responses of the structural and compositional changes of Gmelin larch (Larix gmelinii var. gmelinii) forests to climatic changes have rarely been reported. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS Field survey was conducted to examine the structures and com...
متن کاملInfluence of Long-Term Thinning on the Biomass Carbon and Soil Respiration in a Larch (Larix gmelinii) Forest in Northeastern China
Thinning management is used to improve timber production, but only a few data are available on how it influences ecosystem C sink capacity. This study aims to clarify the effects of thinning on C sinks of larch plantations, the most widespread forests in Northeastern China. Both C influx from biomass production and C efflux from each soil respiration component and its temperature sensitivity we...
متن کاملCarbon dioxide exchange of larch (Larix gmelinii) cones during development.
Larch (Larix gmelinii (Rupr.) Rupr.) cone scales are green, but little is known of their photosynthetic role in cone development or about how they differ in gas exchange characteristics from needle leaves. In contrast to leaf photosynthesis (Pleaf), we found that stomatal regulation of cone photosynthetic rate (Pcone) was marginal because the photosynthetic carbon came from internal recycling o...
متن کاملRadial Growth Response of Larix gmelinii to Climate along a Latitudinal Gradient in the Greater Khingan Mountains, Northeastern China
To explore how climatic factors influence tree growth within the context of global climate changes, we used a dendroclimatological analysis to understand the response of Larix gmelinii to climatic variations along a broad latitudinal gradient from 47.27◦ to 52.66◦ N in the Greater Khingan Mountains of Northeastern China. The growth-limiting climate factors and a detailed association between rad...
متن کاملPlant Debris and Its Contribution to Ecosystem Carbon Storage in Successional Larix gmelinii Forests in Northeastern China
Plant debris, including woody debris and litter, is an essential but frequently overlooked component of carbon (C) storage in forest ecosystems. Here, we examined the C storage of plant debris and its contribution to total ecosystem C storage in an age sequence of six larch (Larix gmelinii) forest stands (15, 36, 45, 54, 65, and 138 years old) in northeastern China. The plant debris C storage i...
